What you paste is read in your browser and is not sent to us unless you choose to save a history. The checker needs trade lines only: date, code, event, quantity. It needs no names, tax file numbers, customer reference numbers, holder identification numbers or account numbers. Before anything is shown, recognised holder numbers (an X followed by ten digits, an I followed by eleven), nine-digit numbers written with or without spaces, nine digits followed by a letter, and any run of nine or more digits are replaced with a marker, and a cell of more than 300 characters is replaced with "content removed". This removes recognised numbers only: a name typed into a notes column is not recognised, so do not paste one. Only the scrubbed text is ever sent when you save, under a client nickname you choose; never use the client's name.
Where it is kept and who can see it. Pages are served by Cloudflare. Saved work and your account are stored in a Supabase database in Sydney, Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2), encrypted at rest and reached only over encrypted connections. Payments are processed by Stripe, and sign-in links and receipts are sent through SendGrid; those four are the only services that handle your data for us. Saved work is kept until you delete it or close your account. Our support staff open a saved record only to answer a request from you.

A saved history holds the nickname you give it, the pasted lines after the removals above, and the reading of them (each line's date, code, event, owner, change and status, and the ready-to-enter rows). It is kept until you delete it or close your account. You can delete it yourself from its page under Saved histories (Delete this history), or ask support@theartofservice.com. It can be opened by the signed-in account that saved it; our support staff open it only on your request. A nickname can still be personal information if you can link it to a client, so use one that you cannot, such as Client A. This page does not describe backup retention periods, breach-response steps or access logging; ask support if you need them for your records.
Your email address is stored for sign-in. We do not sell data, run advertising, or share your histories with anyone. Transactional email (sign-in links, receipts) is the only email a saved account receives. Payment details are handled by our payment processor and never touch our systems.
