Bonus issue: does it change the number of shares?

On the passbook, a bonus issue line reads: named in the sources: report

Bonus shares and the Age Pension

Receiving bonus shares is one of the events the Guide to Social Security Law lists for Age Pension recipients to notify within 14 days, and the total number of shares changes.

Worked example

A 1 for 10 bonus issue added 120 EXD shares to a holding of 1,200, on Wed 29 Jul 2026. Day 14 is Wed 12 Aug 2026, a working day, so the report-by date is Wed 12 Aug 2026 (national holidays only; set your state and its public holidays move it too). Bonus shares are named in the Guide's list, so this one is reported; it sits under finding 5 until its quantity is ticked confirmed.
