Transfer in: does it change the number of shares?
On the passbook, a transfer in line reads: holding changed: report or confirm
Shares transferred in
A transfer in changes the number of shares held and the total the form asks for.
Worked example
An off-market transfer brought 150 EXQ shares into a holding of 0, on Sat 11 Jul 2026. Day 14 is Sat 25 Jul 2026, which falls on a Saturday, so the period ends on the next working day, Mon 27 Jul 2026 (national holidays only; set your state and its public holidays move it too). The number held rose without a buy, so the line is a holding change to report or confirm.
