Do I report bonus shares on the Age Pension?
Yes. The Guide to Social Security Law 3.4.1.50 lists receiving bonus shares among the events an Age Pension recipient must notify within the 14-day notification period, and the total number of shares changes. Worked example
A 1 for 5 bonus issue adds 60 EXD shares to a holding of 300 on Fri 9 Oct 2026. Day 14 is Fri 23 Oct 2026, a working day, so the report-by date is Fri 23 Oct 2026 (national holidays only; set your state and its public holidays move it too). The new total is 360 once the quantity is ticked confirmed.

The rule. Report a change in shares within 14 days. Named in the sources: a buy, a sale, bonus shares. Any other change to the total number of shares the form asks for: report or confirm.
