Age Pension 14-Day Share Checker / Questions

Do I report a change in share value?

A price movement is not on the list of events the Guide lists for Age Pension recipients to notify. Services Australia revalues listed shares itself on 20 March and 20 September each year, using the latest prices it holds, and when you ask it to. A change in the number of shares is on the list. What if my shares fall sharply in value?

You can ask Services Australia to revalue your investments at any time; after a revaluation your payment rate may change. Source: Services Australia, financial investments, read 28 Sep 2026.

Worked example

EXA falls from 13.10 to 11.90 a share while the client holds 1,150, and a line records the new price on Mon 21 Sep 2026. Day 14 is Mon 5 Oct 2026, a working day, so the report-by date is Mon 5 Oct 2026 (national holidays only; set your state and its public holidays move it too). No change in the number, so no date is set for it; the value is picked up at the next 20 March or 20 September revaluation, or earlier if the client asks.
